A Message from Our President:

Welcome to the 21-22 school year, Paddock families!

The Paddock PTA has been busy this summer planning a fun and engaging year ahead! The calendar is set with family events each month to celebrate academics and fitness, provide opportunities to give back to our community, and bring our families back together. Our PTA meetings are scheduled for the first Wednesday night of each month. Each meeting will provide details about the events our committee chairs are planning, a summary of current CCSD 15 happenings and a report directly from Principal Jason Christ about what’s going on at Paddock School.

We had to be creative last year with planning our events. Virtual art and yoga assemblies were scheduled to ensure all Paddock students could participate. Our Community Cares budget was tripled to buy gift cards for Paddock families who needed them. We organized fall and winter spirit weeks to bring our students together while they were all at home e-learning. Our Dine and Shares supported small local businesses and also utilized food trucks to bring our families together outside. The Family Read Night, Panther Fest and STEAM Fair committees created innovative events to reach and engage students and families. Our teachers were treated to amazing daily celebrations during Teacher Appreciation Week. The outgoing sixth graders were recognized with class t-shirts, yard signs and summer events to give them opportunities to say good-bye to their classmates. We did our best given the constraints we had to operate within, and I am proud of how hard our board and chairs worked to keep our PTA active.

We are confident this year will be even better! Before school starts, the PTA has summer playdates planned for each grade so students can see each other on the playground. We are dedicated to providing an enriching learning environment for our students, a welcoming community for our families and lend support to our teachers and staff. We will enhance the students’ learning environment by giving them opportunities to participate in all-school assemblies and join reading clubs. We will show our gratitude to Paddock’s teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week and provide parent volunteers to organize class parties. We will support our community by donating to Paddock families in need through the Winter Wishes program and volunteer our time at charities such as Feed Our Starving Children. We are dedicated to having a successful fundraising effort to purchase new playground equipment for Paddock School.

We invite you to join us as we work to reach our goals! The cost for your family to join our PTA for the entire school year is $11. When you become a member you will have access to the electronic PTA directory, an open invitation to attend monthly PTA meetings, receive weekly Virtual Backpack emails containing the latest Paddock School information and have opportunities to volunteer at Paddock school.
