Fundraising Information

Support your PTA

The Paddock PTA relies almost exclusively on fundraising as a means to raise money for our approved programs. Historically, we have held a wrapping paper sale in the early fall and participated in Market Day throughout the year.  Based on your feedback in last spring’s parent survey, we are approaching fundraising a little differently this year.

Publicize our goal and progress towards it.  Our fundraising goal this year is $25,000.  Each month we will track and post our progress in PantherPress, on our site here, and on our bulletin board in the school entry hall. Once we reach our goal of $25,000 – the amount we need to offer all of our approved programs this year, we will stop fundraising.

Trying out new ideas to raise money.  Rather than holding the same two fundraisers, we will offer several ways for parents to contribute throughout the year, beginning with a wrapping paper/gift fundraiser this fall, a food/poinsettia fundraiser for the holidays and a silent auction, to name a few. We do not expect all families to participate in all fundraisers. Our goal is to test a variety of new ideas we believe would be of interest to families, while still meeting our fundraising goal.

Incentives. We are trying to move away from the ‘dime store’ prize incentives that have been given to kids for selling volume. We are working on incentives that benefit the class and school, although small incentives will be awarded to individual children based on sales volume.

Cash Donations accepted.   Families who would like to make a donation, but prefer not to participate in fundraisers, can make a cash donation to the PTA.  We are a registered 501(c) 3 not for profit organization; so all cash donations are tax deductible.  The average amount raised per participating student in last year’s fundraisers was $70.

In Kind Donations are welcome.  Are you a business owner willing to donate a product/service to support the PTA?  Do you have special skills or talents that you would be willing to share in support of one of our goals? (Examples: health, safety, environment, and parent education, to name a few).  If so, we gladly accept in-kind donations for our programs.

Working together, we can continue to enhance the school community for our children! Your support is very much appreciated.
